Welcome to Bennington County Conservation District (BCCD)

BCCD has been growing relationships between people and place since 1956! BCCD was established to serve all of Bennington County and its four watersheds: the Mettowee, the Batten Kill, the Hoosic, and the Deerfield. For more information on VT’s other conservation districts, refer to the Vermont Association of Conservation Districts site.  Our talented staff engage Bennington County residents in the conservation and stewardship of natural resources by providing educational, technical, and/or financial assistance. Overarching themes for our strategic direction are flood and drought resilience, climate, targeted community impact, food sovereignty. We work with a diverse array of dedicated and enthusiastic partner organizations, land managers, and volunteers to achieve our mission and meet the needs of our community. Join our Team if you are passionate about sustainable agriculture, natural resource conservation, and making a difference in your community!
